Welcome to Alpacas of the Blue Aurora
As my logo suggests, my ranch aspires to the soft and beautiful. The appeal and value of my Alpacas is “top drawer”. The word Aurora is from the Latin word for dawn, also representing color as in the allusive blue aurora butterfly (found in Amazon) and the aurora borealis. My herd color varies from white to fawn to brown. I am striving for density and fineness.

It is an honor to be part of an industry that can follow its roots back to the early life of the Incas of Peru. Historically, the Alpacas value has sustained ancient cultures for centuries in South America. The textiles produced from their fiber are known in the fashion centers of Paris, Milan and Tokyo. Even here in Oregon, one of our leading textile manufacturers-Pendleton Woolen Mills- is producing blankets from local Alpaca fiber.

There are excellent profit opportunities and tax advantages available to Alpaca breeders and investors. Tending to a graceful herd of Alpacas can also be an exciting way to earn a substantial cash flow and live a rewarding lifestyle. Alpaca breeders enjoy nurturing their animals every bit as much as receiving the profits they provide.

The Alpacas from Alpacas of the Blue Aurora will make a fine addition to any ranch whether you are new to the business or an “old hand”.
